 EXPERIENCE

 1981 - present - Vocational Consultant

           American Rehabilitation Consultant Services, Inc., Slidell, La

              Provision of services include:  Vocational evaluation, testing, assessment of employability, vocational counseling, career planning, and job placement.  Determination of wage earning capability, retraining options and

           development of career paths are also provided.  Vocational expert testimony in personal injury, business valuation, divorce and employment discrimination issues is provided.

 

April, 1979 - July, 1981  Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

            Crawford Rehabilitation, Inc., Metairie, La.

            Services provided included: Vocational Evaluation, testing, assessment of employability, counseling, and placement of industrially injured workers. Used data pertinent to perform job analysis, labor market surveys, job

            descriptions  and employer needs in order to assist the client in formulating a realistic vocational rehabilitation plan.        

 

 January 1979 - April 1979  Counselor

            Women and Employment Program, La. Bureau for Women, New Orleans, La.

            Developed employment counseling program to prepare women for work in non-traditional jobs. Provided individual and group counseling sessions and conducted on-site assessment of work areas insure proper placement.

 

 November 1977 - July 1978  Director

            Oxford Child Development Center, Oxford, Mississippi.

 Supervised the staff and program of a Title XX program for multi-handicapped children. Maintained fiscal control of the budget and assisted in proposal renewal writing for grant continuation.  Supervised undergraduate

 

 practicums in psychology and special education. 

 

May 1976 - October 1977 Social Worker-Parent Educator

           Oxford Child Development Center, Oxford, Mississippi.

Counseled clients and families regarding problems caused by various handicapping conditions. Planned and administered educational programs  to locate and identify handicapped children in the community who were eligible

 

for assistance. 

 

October 1974 - April 1976 Social Services Representative, Program Monitor

           Department of Human Resources, Washington, D.C

Monitored quality of services and compliance to contract agreements in licensed family day-care homes. Assessed potential areas of non conformance and recommended termination or renewal of purchase of service

           agreements based on the assessment.
